On Sunday, February 15th, experience The College Live on Stage at The Dean Amsterdam in The College Hotel. From 12:00–16:00, we welcome you with a glass of cava and bites, followed by a delicious three-course lunch. Niels Tausk Band w/ Alexia Harpa
On February 15, highly acclaimed jazz trumpeter and educator Niels Tausk connects jazz tradition with new generations. As a jazz historian at the Royal Conservatory, Tausk places the music in context, sharing backgrounds and anecdotes that illuminate the stories behind the sound.
Through his work with the Young Talent Department, he remains closely connected to emerging musicians and brings one of these discoveries to the stage: Alexia Harpa, a promising young drummer from Romania, who just last week performed as a guest soloist with the Concertgebouw Jazz Orchestra in a tribute to Art Blakey.
This concert offers a relaxed midday setting where jazz history, storytelling, and contemporary performance come together. Linking the past, present, and future of the music.
