THE COLLEGE HOTEL AMSTERDAM, AUTOGRAPH COLLECTION

The College Hotel Amsterdam is located in the Oud-Zuid district, the so-called Fashion District of the capital. The Museumplein, the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and the Concertgebouw are all located just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. The popular neighborhood de Pijp and the Albert Cuyp market are within walking distance. Other locations in the center can be reached by tram. Lines 3, 5, 12 and 24 stop directly in front of the hotel.

Dam Square is a 35-40 minute walk away. Of course you can also travel by public transport (metro and tram) or by bicycle.

Museum tickets are subject to availability and we recommend reserving them well in advance. For the Anne Frank House, reservations must be made weeks ahead exclusively through their official website. The Van Gogh Museum also frequently reaches full capacity. To avoid disappointment, please plan ahead and feel free to contact our reception for assistance with other museum visits.

Amsterdam is a complex city due to its canal network. We give you a city map free of charge at the front desk. The map clearly shows the city’s main attractions and museums. The public transport network is also show on this map. The front desk team will be more than happy to explain more about our surroundings.  

Amsterdam has a wide range of restaurants. We are happy to help you make a suitable choice and make a reservation for you.

There are several ways to get from Schiphol to the hotel. You can travel by taxi or public transport. The cost of a taxi is approximately €65 from and to Schiphol Airport. Please be aware that prices may vary based on traffic and the specific route taken. Contact us via the contact form and we will arrange your transfer. You can also call us directly. Of course you can also hail a taxi yourself. Do you prefer to travel by public transport? From Schiphol you can take the train to Amsterdam Station-Zuid. Here you can change to tram number 5 and get off at Roelof Hartplein or with metro line 52 towards Noord and get off at De Pijp station. A journey from the hotel to Schiphol or vice versa takes about 20 minutes depending on how busy it is.

You can take Metro 52 towards Zuid, exit at De Pijp station, and enjoy a brief 7-minute walk to our doors, approximately a 12-minute trip from Central Station.

From the A10 ring road, take the s108 exit and follow the “Olympisch Stadion” signs. Follow the Stadionweg to the right until you reach the intersection with the Beethovenstraat. Turn right and after 400 meters the hotel is directly at the traffic lights in front of you.

The College Hotel Amsterdam has a number of parking spaces at Roelof Hartstraat 24. You can park your car in our parking garage for € 60 per night from your check in until check out time. If these places are no longer available, you can park your car in the garage at Qpark Museum Square on Nicolaas Maesstraat 2D. Please note, reservation for our parking garage is required and only limited spaces are available. We offer vallet parking on request.

For electric cars, two charging points are available in Balthasar Floriszstraat around the corner from the hotel. These charging stations do not belong to the hotel and are located on the public road.

Cycling is a fantastic way to see the city. Bicycles are available for rent to hotel guests; please inquire at reception for availability. Rental rates are €15 for 3 hours and €20 for 24 hours.

That is not a problem at all. We can book breakfast for you at € 25 per person per day. Here you can enjoy our classic breakfast buffet or our à la carte breakfast. In good weather, you can even have breakfast in the sun in the courtyard.

Unfortunately, we do not have rooms available with either a twin or 2 double bed.

All our rooms are available for double occupancy and we do not provide extra beds but we have a few connecting rooms in the property only available upon request. For these cases and to discus the best option for your family’s stay, please contact us directly.

No, we do not offer extra beds. Our rooms are only equipped with the standard beds as indicated on our website.  If you have any other questions or special requests, please feel free to contact our reception. We are here to assist you further.

Yes, each bathroom is provided with a hair dryer.

No, unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the hotel. Guide dogs are an exception.

At your request we can make your bed with anti-allergy duvets.

The flat screen televisions in the hotel rooms offer you a selection of foreign television channels. CNN, BBC 1 & 2, ADR, ZDF and A are available as standard.

Yes, we have an ironing board plus steamer available in every room for your convenience! We also offer laundry and dry cleaning facilities. If you want to make use of this, you can indicate this via the forms in your room.

You can check in with us from 03:00 pm guaranteed. If your room is ready earlier, you can of course come in earlier. You can check out until 12:00 pm.

You can leave your luggage before your arrival and upon departure. This way you can fully enjoy Amsterdam! Our reception team will be happy to assist you.

Of course we can assist you in making prints at the reception. This saves a lot of waiting time at the airport, so you can enjoy Amsterdam longer!

Yes, The College Hotel is recognized by the Municipality of Amsterdam as an official wedding location. For example, in the intimate P.C. Hooft Salon to host your wedding ceremony. You can receive up to 200 guests in the Rembrandt Ballroom. We also offer plenty of options for dinners, parties and receptions.
