The College Hotel Amsterdam is located in the Oud-Zuid district, the so-called Fashion District of the capital. The Museumplein, the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and the Concertgebouw are all located just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. The popular neighborhood de Pijp and the Albert Cuyp market are within walking distance. Other locations in the center can be reached by tram. Lines 3, 5 and 12 stop directly in front of the hotel.

Surroundings
Dam Square is a 35-40 minute walk away. Of course you can also travel by public transport (metro and tram) or by bicycle.
You can buy tickets for Amsterdam’s leading museums from us. An exception applies only to the Anne Frank House; these tickets can only be purchased online, directly at the House or at the cash desk.
Amsterdam is a complex city due to its canal network. We give you a city map free of charge at the front desk. The map clearly shows the city’s main attractions and museums. The public transport network is also show on this map. The front desk team will be more than happy to explain more about our surroundings.
Amsterdam has a wide range of restaurants. We are happy to help you make a suitable choice and make a reservation for you.
Route and Transport
There are several ways to get from Schiphol to the hotel. You can travel by taxi or public transport. The costs for a taxi are approximately € 40 euros. Contact us via the contact form and we will arrange your transfer. You can also call us directly. Of course you can also hail a taxi yourself. Do you prefer to travel by public transport? From Schiphol you can take the train to Amsterdam Station-Zuid. Here you can change to tram number 5 and get off at Roelof Hartplein or with metro line 52 towards Noord and get off at De Pijp station. A journey from the hotel to Schiphol or vice versa takes about 20 minutes depending on how busy it is.
From the west side, take tram 5 towards Amstelveen Binnenhof. Get off at the Roelof Hartplein stop. The hotel is just across the street. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes from Central Station.
Or take metro line 52 towards Zuid and get off at De Pijp station. From there it is a 7 minute walk to the hotel. This journey takes approximately 12 minutes from Central Station.
From the A10 ring road, take the s108 exit and follow the “Olympisch Stadion” signs. Follow the Stadionweg to the right until you reach the intersection with the Beethovenstraat. Turn right and after 400 meters the hotel is directly at the traffic lights in front of you.
The College Hotel Amsterdam has a number of parking spaces at Roelof Hartstraat 24. You can park your car in our parking garage for € 50 per night from your check in until check out time. If these places are no longer available, you can park your car in the garage at the Museum Plein on Nicolaas Maesstraat 2D. Please note, reservation for our parking garage is required.
For electric cars, two charging points are available in Balthasar Floriszstraat around the corner from the hotel. These charging stations do not belong to the hotel and are located on the public road.
Cycling is an excellent way to explore the city. You can get from A to B quickly by bicycle. We have 12 bicycles available for you as a hotel guest. We are happy to arrange if you needed. You can rent bicycles at €16 per day at the reception.
Hotel reservations
That is not a problem at all. We can book breakfast for you at € 25 per person per day. Here you can enjoy our classic breakfast buffet or our à la carte breakfast. In good weather, you can even have breakfast in the sun in the courtyard.
We have both bed types available. Leave your wishes via our contact form and we will call you to discuss the options. You can also call us directly to discuss your requirements.
You can stay with a maximum of 3 people in our Junior Suites and Deluxe Rooms. An extra bed is then placed in your room. If your children are older than 12 years, the costs are €65 per person per night excluding breakfast. You can also book two separate rooms, next to each other or with a connecting door. Please contact us for this special request.

Reception services
You can check in with us from 3 p.m. guaranteed. If your room is ready earlier, you can of course come in earlier. You can check out until 12 noon.
You can leave your luggage before your arrival and upon departure. This way you can fully enjoy Amsterdam! Our reception team will be happy to assist you with this and ensure that if your luggage is already at the hotel, it is already in your room.
We do not have a public computer at our disposal. Of course we can assist you in making prints and boarding passes. This saves a lot of waiting time at the airport, so you can enjoy Amsterdam longer!

Yes, The College Hotel is recognized by the Municipality of Amsterdam as an official wedding location. For example, in the intimate P.C. Hooftzaal with about 65 guests host your wedding ceremony. You can receive up to 200 guests in the Rembrandt Ballroom. We also offer plenty of options for dinners, parties and receptions.

Amsterdam is an expensive city to park. For a day visit, we recommend that you park in the P&R garage of the Olympic Stadium. Here you pay € 8.00 for your car for the first day (arrival on a weekday before 10.00 am). After the first day you pay € 1 per 24 hours. In the weekend and on weekdays after 10 a.m. you pay € 1 per 24 hours. Here you can park and continue your journey by public transport.
