Léah Kline - what makes a diva (jazzy)
On Sunday, November 16, Léah explores the art and allure of the diva together with her fellow musicians and the audience.
According to Léah, a diva (or divo) is someone known by just one name. She takes us back to the era of iconic singers such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Anita O’Day, Doris Day, Nancy Sinatra, and Peggy Lee – artists who shaped the pop music of their time, when not only quality but also performance and presence were key.
With her natural charm and charisma, Léah brings this timeless repertoire to life with authenticity and flair. As an American performer, she combines credibility with a modern touch, making the music sparkle even today.

Martien Oster and Thijs van den Geest pay homage to Chet Baker with subtle melodies, elegant improvisations, and a pure jazz spirit. A unique opportunity to experience two top musicians up close.

Martien Oster – Guitarist and vocalist with an impressive international career. He has performed and recorded with Monty Alexander, Red Holloway, Diana Krall (on her first album), and Dr. Lonnie Smith. Known for his virtuosity, sensitivity, and musicality, Martien is a highly respected figure in the jazz world.

Thijs van den Geest – Versatile jazz trumpeter from Amsterdam and co-founder of Klinkende Kosmos, an ensemble that blends poetry with original compositions. He also performs in his own duo projects and with the theatrical pop-jazz group Collectief Explosief. A 2017 graduate of the Conservatory of Amsterdam, Thijs is a creative and energetic performer.
Deborah J. Carter Trio – Christmas Edition
Jazz singer Deborah J. Carter, known for her warm stage presence and virtuoso style, was born in the U.S. and grew up in Hawaii and Japan. Her versatility allows her to feel at home in both traditional jazz and modern cross-over projects with diverse influences.
She has toured with her own band or as a guest soloist in formations ranging from solo pianist to full orchestra. In recent years, she has graced jazz stages in countries such as Japan, China, Germany, India, Croatia, Canada, Spain, Russia, Venezuela, Colombia, Korea, South Africa, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, and many more.
On Sunday, December 14, Deborah presents a special Christmas edition, treating the audience to a warm and festive blend of jazzy Christmas classics and surprising interpretations – all delivered with her signature charm and musicality.
